I can’t see this not being successful. It’s stupid as hell but it’s just as catchy. It follows the same format of Gangam Style ridiculous but it still works.

It also, as of this post, has hit 89 million views since it’s release on April 13th. Lord almighty. Seriously, your fave could NEVER do it. It broke the YouTube record by hitting 18 million views in 24 hours (that was originally held by Justin Bieber’s Beauty and the Beat, with a now tawdry 10 million views).

Demi Lovato dropped the super dramatical video for her current...

Demi Lovato dropped the super dramatical video for her current chart topping single, Heart Attack, off her upcoming album Demi (Out May 14th).

The song has caught on with me a lot, but this video is serving Amy Lee realness. I’m actually a little reminded of this video, which I had to search through the depths of my head for as I spent the past 10 minutes trying to remember what fucking song that was.

So thanks, Demi, now I’m stressed.

Still a good tune though so I’ll let it slide. *peace sign emoji*

The title of Avril Lavigne’s new single seems to hit close...

The title of Avril Lavigne’s new single seems to hit close to what I believe her life mantra must be with the release of her new jam, “Here’s To Never Growing Up.”

I hate myself just a little <strike>a lot</strike> for finding this song really catchy and relatable.

In the video, Becky G welcomes new fans into her Inglewood life where she hops into lowriders with J-Lo herself (Oh, and Casper Smart….).

Watch:

Now, before all you kids out there start clawing at my face, I gotta state that I don’t really feel this version. At all. BUT this is solely due to my allegiance to 90s/early 00s J-Lo. She truly gave you every-damn-thing you needed.

The good thing about this is that it’s a fantastic way to get Becky G’s name out there (and, as seen by this video’s YouTube comments, a lot of people sure disagree with me on the track.)

Hunter Hayes, up-and-coming country superstar and current teen...

Hunter Hayes, up-and-coming country superstar and current teen girl fodder, has released the first single off the re-release of his successful album, Hunter Hayes (Encore) (Out June 18th), called, “I Want Crazy.”

You’ll know Hunter from his hit single “Wanted,” which probably plays ad-nauseam in every mall in America.

I’m not the greatest judge of country music since I know zero to nothing about the genre but I think it’s a cute tune. *shrugs*

What I am sure of is that some teenage girl across the country just found some new lyrics to scribble into her diary (or textgram on Instagram…)

Selena Gomez is attempting to skyrocket to pop superstardom sans...

Selena Gomez is attempting to skyrocket to pop superstardom sans Justin Bieber with the release of her new bhangra inspired single, “Come & Get It,” which is the first off her upcoming new album (also sans “The Scene”)

I actually applaud Selena for going a bit outside the pop music box that we’re hearing on radio nowadays. I wasn’t expecting an Bollywood influenced track from her, but it works. With repeated listenings, it becomes super catchy.

Selena also premiered the track at last night’s MTV Movie Awards (aka the Kat Deluna of award shows) with the song’s first live performance.

Fall Out Boy, today (April 16th), have finally released their fifth album, Save Rock and Roll, featuring star-studded guests like Courtney Love, Big Sean, Foxes, and Elton John.

Stream the album in full here:

As a rather passionate Fall Out Boy fan through most my teens, I only welcome them back with open arms and I’m glad to report that the music is still pretty damn great. They try new things without straying to far from what their die-hard fans know and love. Excited to pick this one up today.

After promising something new for her fans yesterday, Beyonce...

After promising something new for her fans yesterday, Beyonce delivered, albiet slightly anticlimactically, with a preview of her new single “Grown Woman” through the body of a brand new commercial for Pepsi titled “Mirrors.”

The ad features Beyonce going fabulously back through time and seeing her old selves (and her old outfits) after a delicious sip of Pepsi (cause what else would cause such a revelation). The Beyonces™ proceed to collectively dance because who’s a better back-up dancer for Beyonce then a bunch of old Beyonces, ya feel me?

And for the song…..eh. I’ll hold my tongue until I hear the whole thing. *clutches pearls*

Snoop Lion, or the artist formerly known as Snoop Dogg, released...

Snoop Lion, or the artist formerly known as Snoop Dogg, released a new song off his upcoming new reggae-influenced album Reincarnated titled “Ashtrays and Heartbreaks” featuring, interestingly enough, Miley Cyrus.

Listen:

This is…really good. We also see Nick Jonas try to participate in a dance battle. Nice try, JoBro.

While, yes, this does sound like something off High School Musical/Camp Rock (if, y’know, those films had songs about getting dat booty), the song is also a real catchy bop that I enjoy a lot.

The single is the lead off her upcoming debut album Daydreamin’.

Shortly after the release of this single on iTunes, it skyrocketed to number 1 on the iTunes chart and ultimately earned her a top 10 debut on the Billboard chart (the highest for any single from a Nickelodeon star).

What in the Emancipation of Mimi hell? This is actually a pretty solid cute single, with a very strong Mariah Carey influence. This flew under the radar for me, so I’m really surprised by it’s success. Good for her though.

Seemingly out of nowhere, Lana Del Rey took her fans off guard...

Seemingly out of nowhere, Lana Del Rey took her fans off guard by premiering a video of a cover of Leonard Cohen’s song “Chelsea Hotel No. 2.”

Watch:

The video is relatively understated, for her at least, and it results in something gorgeous. It’s also rumored that this cover will be featured on the soundtrack for the upcoming film The Great Gatsby, but take that with a grain of salt.

Not wanting Justin Timberlake to grab all that white boy shine,...

Not wanting Justin Timberlake to grab all that white boy shine, Robin Thicke dropped a new video for his single, “Blurred Lines” featuring T.I. and the never aging immortal Pharrell.

The original video was recently banned from Youtube for nudity (If you’re interested in model nakedness, here ya go.). The video and song is cute, but the highlight of all this is the scene at 1:24 where T.I. lives his dream of becoming a hairstylist to the groove of the beat. #legendary #thicke

Fall Out Boy are keeping their comeback rolling by rising from...

Fall Out Boy are keeping their comeback rolling by rising from the ashes with a new video for “The Phoenix,” which will appear on their upcoming album Save Rock & Roll (Out April 16th).

When I first heard the song, I didn’t care for it much but it’s actually grown on me a lot. I’m super excited for this album - middle school-me can’t even take it anymore. Also, it’s exciting to see Patrick Stump take a larger role as the frontman of the band this time around.

John Legend released a brand new song called “Who Do We...

John Legend released a brand new song called “Who Do We Think We Are” featuring Rick Ross, which is the first single off his upcoming album Love In The Future. The song samples Jean Knight’s soul classic “Mr Big Stuff.”

Listen:

Solid. Smooth. Didn’t really care for the Rick Ross verse though.

Avril Lavigne released a short snippet of her upcoming new...

Avril Lavigne released a short snippet of her upcoming new single, “Here’s To Never Growing Up,” which is set for release April 9th. This kicks off her first new release since 2011’s Goodbye Lullaby.

Listen:

Well, that doesn’t really give much of anything. I do find it funny though that her single is called “Here’s To Never Growing Up” since she still dresses in Hot Topic chic that (hopefully) ya’ll should’ve grown out of in middle school. So, it’s fitting, I suppose.
